Andrew Robley Bio

In 1986 Andrew successfully auditioned for Francis Golightly’s “ Cascade Revue “ at the West Cliff Theatre in Clacton. It is a first class revue with costumes and production not seen for a long time on any stage, and it is there he has spent the last 15 Summers.
Andrew is now proud to be part of the production team who put it together with the producer and Andrews personnel manager Francis Golightly and Andrews musical director Roy Cloughton (recently sadly passed away).

Successful Pantomime and Concert work followed, working alongside stars such as Roy Barraclough, Dora Bryan, Joan Regan and Roy Hudd. As well as recording six musical albums, Andrew has appeared regularly on television in programmes such as “ Hi De Hi, Lovejoy, The Chief “ and numerous commercials and training films.

1994 had Andrew travelling to America to appear in a Las Vegas style Revue for director Dougie Squires, which in turn lead him to appear in the 1995 Royal Variety Show on the occasion of the VE celebrations in Hyde Park, attended by Her Majesty The Queen, For Andrew, performing for the Royal Family alongside Dame Vera Lynn, Michael Ball and Elaine Page, was a dream come true.

Life was looking pretty good, but it was only to get better, as Andrew starred as the Phantom in the concert tour of “ The Phantom Of The Opera, Concerts are a great excitement for Andrew, and none more-so than when he was asked to be the soloist with the “ Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra “ at the “ Last Night of the Proms “, a great honour to follow in the footsteps of Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.
Andrew has toured in most of the major theatres in Great Britain,and then in 1997 reached one of his milestones, when he starred in his own One Man Show.

One of his favourite venues, where Andrew appears regularly is the “ Brick Lane Theatre “ in London and had a wonderful time, most recently with the legendary Danny La Rue. Andrews greatest accolade was still to come, in 1999 he was made the youngest member of "The Grand Order Of Water Rats "following in the path of his heroes, Laurel & Hardy and Sir Norman Wisdom, who Andrew is proud to call a friend.
The cruising world beckoned again and he has been lucky enough to tour the world on some of the most luxurious liners.

The Millennium saw Andrew on the Fred Olsen Cruise Lines “ Black Watch “ in Tenerife, certainly a night to remember.
The year 2000 brought more wonderful experiences, such as singing in The Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem at Easter, understandably an incredible and emotional event, only to follow in August to be invited to Perform a special concert in the presence of the Great Lady herself, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, as the country celebrated her 100th Birthday. Infact Andrew has performed before all senior members of the Royal Family and starred in the first Tribute Concert to the late Princess of Wales.

At the end of an amazing year Andrew was made an Officer of the Water Rats.

2001 was another busy year, From Brazil to Bermuda, London to Leicester, the Spring found Andrew in Italy, and then a Mediterranean Cruise, his summer was spent for the sixteenth season at the West Cliff Theatre in the Cascade Revue.
Once again Andrew found himself performing before Royalty. With performances to H.R.H Prince Philip at his 80th birthday celebrations and also a performance before Prince Michael of Kent in London.
That year,Andrew was also honoured to be asked to perform at a tribute concert to Russ Conway at the Westminster Theatre in London and in November of 2001 he was voted as a returning officer for the Grand Order of Water Rats.

In 2002 Andrew can be found cruising around Africa and the Caribbean, well someone has to do it, Andrew thanks his lucky stars that it’s him. Andrew has a huge following of fans, all the love and support of his Friends & Family,he is a very talented man, but more importantly a very kind, patient and giving person who deserves
