Clacton Carnival Queen and her Princesses
Saturday 14th August 2010 Carnaval Procession
The Carnival Procession has a start time of 6pm and follows the new route straight along the
seafront from West Road Car Park to Victoria Road. The usual excitement, noise and spectacle of a Carnival Procession
will include Marching Bands, majorettes, local and national floats, and many visiting Carnival Queens from
other towns with the whole Procession being led by our very own Carnival Queen and her
Princesses.

There will be two main charities to benefit from monies collected and they are the Clacton
Maternity Unit which needs funds to equip their new Birthing Pool and the local branch of St. John Ambulance
who need a Portable Patient Monitor.

Chairman’s message 2010
Dear Carnival friends
As you may know or have seen, last years Carnival raised over
£19,000, thanks to the general public and sponsors, all of which was given away to local charities and voluntary
organisations. Yes we had the best of the summer weather which helped but without your support together with a
dedicated committee we would not have achieved this amount. So if we can get anywhere near to what we did last year
it will be a success.
